Our unit of work on Africa and making water filters
We made water filters as part of our unit on Africa. The boys also did a fantastic job making a presentation to the school about the key areas they investigated. Those included:
- Stereotypes of Africa
- Case Study: Malawi
- The Roger Federer Foundation
- Colonialism in Africa
- Good news Africa: Google success stories of Africa
Photographs from our experiment developing black and white film
We took a roll of black and white film, shot it on an antique camera that belonged to Mr Keogh's grandfather and developed it in class. We learned about composition, light and even some chemistry!
Here's another type of camera we used. It's called a Nettar and was made by the german manufacturer named Zeiss.
